When two of you agree ...

A female resident - greatly advanced in years- from the retirement home where Inger used to work, was eagerly looking forward to the wedding party of her granddaughter, with whom she had a special bond. A while before the wedding, she was visibly getting worse: she became confused, had no strength left. She was expected to die very soon. Years before all this Inger once had talked with her about Jesus, but she did not want to choose for Him nor receive prayer. She thought it was "too late to change her mind". When her condition became critical, she allowed Inger to pray with her and she gave her heart to Jesus. Inger also prayed for new strength, so she would be able to attend the wedding. The next day her condition was much better, and slowly but surely the confusion disappeared and she recovered her strength. With a fresh mind, and a lovely outfit, she enjoyed -amidst her family -the wedding party she had longed for so much.

Recovery from a severe burn out

“For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.” (2 Cor 4:5)

I was doing for over 30 years all kind of leadership tasks in the church of Jesus, when a concurrence of events led to a complete mental crash. I entered unexpectedly and unwantedly a period of burn-out that would last several years.

I was relieved of my job as fulltime pastor and I was obliged to stop my involvement in Christian Flanders. I did not preach anywhere for over a year, although I had been doing this for years throughout the whole of Flanders. I even felt written off by God and fellow human beings. The civil society declared that I was incapable to work.

For a while already, Simonne had been suffering quite a lot from a strain in her right leg ("it felt as if it would burst"). Because she could not stand it anymore, she went to the doctor who prescribed her Dafalgan codeïne (a strong painkiller) and sent her to a specialist.

The following day, during the church meeting, a word came that the Lord would heal the pain in legs. Simonne stepped forward and let them pray for her. For a already while she had been asking the Lord that she might "see" once what He was doing. When they prayed for her, she fell in the spirit and "saw" vaguely someone kneeling by her side, two light beams caming out of his right hand. When she returned to her seat, all strain had gone out of the right leg and it never came back. A few years ago, Roza fell and hurt her right knee badly. After some time it looked as if there was also liquid in it. They prayed for her and she was anointed. After a while she noticed that her right knee was completely in order, but that her left knee now showed the same symptoms. Again she let people pray for her, did not notice an immediate healing and so she let it go. Quite some time after that she realised both knees were in an excellent condition. Quite a while ago, Theo had prepared his field for the winter, in what he calls "winter beds"... a heavy job... that evening he came to the church meeting with quite some pain in his left knee. During the worship we sang the song "You who created me". After the song, Theo prayed in silence: "Lord, You did not create me with a sore knee, You can restore it". Immediately after his prayer he felt a soft warmth in his knee and the pain vanished completely.
