Miraculous recouvery of a severe stroke (ceberal thrombosis)

On Saturday night 15^th February 2015 Marnik, Suzy’s 21 year old son, had a strong headache. He had gone out that night and had a few drinks, so Suzy thought that was probably the reason. On Sunday morning she noticed Marnik wasn’t well at all. The doctor on call came at once and he immediately called for 911 and the medical emergency team. Marnik’s left arm and leg were paralyzed, his mouth was slightly crooked but he still could talk. There had been a lack of blood supply in a large part of his brain, the 24 first hours would be critical. If the pressure in his brain would increase too much, surgery would be necessary. Suzy told her sister Linda. She had talked with Hugo right away before service on Sunday morning. The congregation prayed for Marnik. The pressure in his brains remained within the limits and surgery wasn’t necessary….thank You, Jesus!

Nathalie and Werner Steurbaut, a couple from our church, are living in Uganda since 2008. They run a home for children where now 115 children found a safe place to grow up!

On 26th October they went to have a bite to eat in a restaurant at Victoria lake in Entebbe. As they got back in the car, Nathalie opened her window before driving off. At that moment a snake fell into the car.

In March 2012 the back specialist told Ludwine she needed surgery. She had a narrowing of the spinal canal thereby pinching the nerves.

Without surgery, this would lead to paralysis of the legs and life in a wheelchair. She was startled at this diagnosis, but together with Jesus she could cope. So we prayed for a smooth surgery and a miraculous recovery. On 28th June 2012 Ludwine had a successful surgery. The rehabilitation took a long time but went smoothly. All the while Ludwine kept saying she couldn’t have gone through this without her faith in a loving Father who gave her the strength to persevere with patience and in tranquility. The many cards, phone calls, prayers and visits of people from church were certainly a big help too.

At the last check up at the specialist one year after the surgery X-rays were taken. The specialist was visibly surprised and said that the cartilage at the spot of the surgery was restored. This is exceptional as with most patients this takes up to 3 or 4 years but Ludwine was already healed! Now Ludwine could tell the doctor that she was very grateful for his precious hands but also that she prayed and that God took over once the specialist had finished his part!
