Recovery from a severe burn out

I was doing for over 30 years all kind of leadership tasks in the church of Jesus, when a concurrence of events led to a complete mental crash. I entered unexpectedly and unwantedly a period of burn-out that would last several years.

I was relieved of my job as fulltime pastor and I was obliged to stop my involvement in Christian Flanders. I did not preach anywhere for over a year, although I had been doing this for years throughout the whole of Flanders. I even felt written off by God and fellow human beings. The civil society declared that I was incapable to work.

Violent pain in wrists dissappears like snow before the sun

Since the Christmas period Nathalie was suffering from pain in both her wrists. It started with a stiff feeling, as if she had sprained or overburdened both her wrists. Yet there wasn't any indication for that. When Nathalie wanted to do something practical, such as cooking, serving the food or to do some gardening, it became still worse. Even writing gave her trouble!

Werner and Nathalie love to dedicate themselves to the Kingdom and they help wherever they can. It is their dream and wish to start a project in Africa, where they want to go and feed the children. Whenever she was in pain, also this kind of thoughts came: "I'll never be able to do that...".

In 2004, during the medical examination in the first class they discovered examining Tessa Dhaeyer, the daughter of Philippe and Ingrid, that without glasses her sight was 7/10 at the right side and 6/10 at the left.

She was referred to an ophthalmologist who found hypermetropia (farsightedness) and a slight astigmatism (a disordered depth perception).
In the beginning she thought this was rather nice because that way she got more attention at school, but after a while she sometimes was teased for it.
In the fifth class she was tested again during the medical examination at school, and her eyes were good when she had her glasses on.
Tessa was fed up with her glasses and she decided herself not to wear them any more in the sixth class. She believed that God could heal her eyes and she also prayed for it.
At the moment she is in the first year of the secondary school, and in March her eyes were examined once more. Without glasses, both her eyes got a 10/10 (we got the medical report and saw it put down in black and white) and she has a normal depth perception! Tessa was very glad with that, and she encouraged with her testimony everyone wearing glasses and tired of them...
