Resist the devil and he will flee from you

Some two months ago one day François got up and felt a strong pain in his right foot. He could barely stand on it and he couldn’t bear having his shoelace tied. It was a biting, sharp pain. It reminded him of the pain he felt once when he broke a small bone in his hand. François prayed over it and at home he wore open slippers, outside he wore loose fitting shoes. The pain was on and off and bothered him a lot. François didn’t want to go the doctor for fear they would give him a plaster and he didn’t want that for his job at church. The funny thing was each time he was working in church, he felt no pain. Once home, the pain would come back. Two or three weeks ago he got so fed up with the situation, he became really angry at the devil and commanded him to release his foot. The pain left and never came back….

God protects

GOD PROTECTS!

"It is Monday morning. The schedule for the forenoon looks as follows: after breakfast to the market and after that still to the store too.
While I prepare myself, I pray to God. I ask Him to open my eyes for His goodness and for the small 'miracles' He is doing for us day after day.
09:30h. Finally we are standing at the front door, ready to leave. Given my tight schedule, I put up some speed. I am already on my way from the front door to the car, when suddenly Bram says he still wants to take a toy with him. I open the front door to about one full meter, and I go already on to the car. When I am fixing Jonas in the car, Bram comes running to me already and he comes and sits in the car too. I fasten him and we leave. First to market, then to the store. About a full one and a half hour later, we arrive back home. I loosen the boys and I walk to the front door... and it is still almost completely open!!! It takes a while before I realise that I had forgotten to close it.
Immediately I went to look around inside, but everything was just as we had left it. Nothing was missing, not even any keys! I am sure, our house has been protected by God Himself that morning! "

Bartel from the Netherlands gave us the following testimony:

“In November 2019 I attended the Fatherheart School in Belgium. I was really looking forward to it, because I wanted to experience more of God's Love.

A lot was being taught in the A-school. During class it was sufficient for me to be present in the room. Just hearing words about God's Love gave me inner refreshment. I didn't have to do anything for it. I didn’t have to sit up straight or listen actively. I didn't have to take notes. Neither did I have to remember anything. I just had to be present in the room.

How did I experience that?

The first evening I had put a camping mat with sleeping bag in the room. Because I quickly feel overstimulated and tired, I put in my earplugs during the lectures and listened while lying on the mat. I feel well while lying down because it makes me very receptive to what God is doing. Halfway through the various sermons I fell asleep and afterwards I woke up refreshed! I mean refreshed in my inner being, in my heart.

Recently I read the following scripture in Song of Songs 5: 2: "I slept, but my heart was awake."

That is exactly what happened to me at the Fatherheart School. It is such a beautiful verse to me because it describes so well what I have experienced. During school I was allowed to lie down comfortably and sleep on a mat and so I was able to receive God's love easily. My heart was awake, it was wide open.

Then I saw more verses in the Bible in a very different way.

For example, when I read in Mark 4:38 that Jesus was sleeping in the boat during the storm, I now think, "Ah, perhaps he was receiving the Love of the Father at that moment?".

And what about Peter, who was sleeping among the soldiers (Acts 12: 6)? Perhaps Father was just pouring His love into Peter's heart when the angel came to rescue him ...

And what about Genesis 2:21? God puts Adam in a deep sleep and then provides him with such a loving gift :)

All this is also confirmed in Psalm 127:2: “He gives to His loved ones even while they sleep”.

I realized that this really suits me, to rest in His Love.
