A blind aunt accepts Jesus and receives faith for healing

HEAL THE SICK Luke 10:9

This is one of the assignments with which Jesus commissioned his disciples to go out into the cities of Israel. It is still valid for us who are His disciples today. Ela took this up and sent us some of her testimonies (for which we are grateful!):

My German aunt is 93 and has been blind for the last 5 years. Several months ago I prayed for her on the phone and she accepted Jesus in her heart.
During a reunion where the whole family was present, I asked if I could pray for her in another room. I asked my father to come along. I prayed for her in Dutch because I can’t pray fluently in German. She didn’t understand one word of the whole prayer.
Because of the blindness she is seeing very odd things: moving giraffes, rhinoceros, constantly swaying tendrils and continuously falling sand. After the prayer she said she could see the blouse I was wearing and could describe it.

Adventures with God during the holidays

Last June Harry and Suzanne went to Hungary with Eugène and Josée. They have had a nice holiday and would drive back home two days later, when Suzanne said that she had not been experiencing something special with God this years. Josée answered that they had been driving everywhere without any problem, and always had parking space and asked if this was not enough? Still Suzanne wanted to experience God once again really close...

On the way back home they stayed one day in Passau, at the Austrian-German border. That evening they were enjoying a delicious ice cream on a terrace. Suddenly they saw very dark clouds coming their way; they rushed to the car to drive to the hotel. Meanwhile the sky became pitch black.

Sorting!

In Belgium we figured it out: the time that you could just dump your trash on the sidewalk for the garbage truck to pick it up is long gone. Television, glass, cans, green waste… everything used to end up in 1 bag, cart or box. If people back then would have told us one day we would be sorting that junk ourselves, we would have had a good laugh about it. Now, as the years have passed, we are there: we are so used to sorting the stuff, that we are shocked when we find someone that does not do so, because it serves our environment!

So who did invent sorting really? God, of course!
You could object that when God created the world there was no paper trash nor were green waste containers required. But God taught us how to sort more than merely visible trash. He also taught us sorting our thoughts, a practice that, if well done, contributes to a happy life.

“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly thing” (Colossians 3:2) is His commandment. “demolish strongholds… that sets itself up against the knowledge of God…” (2 Corinthians 10:3-6) is another advice He gave us. After all these years some of us have still not excelled in this type of sorting. All too often we still fill ourselves with every possible thought and junk that we can find, the media being well-willing to serve our every need...

With the holidays coming up my suggestion to you is this: try sorting your thoughts, leading them instead of them leading you. This type of sorting will change your life, and in time, the whole world!

Enjoy your holidays!
Many blessings,

Hugo
