Get up and walk

Lisa, the granddaughter of Eugeen and Joséé (church members), started to straighten herself up and to stand on her little legs at the age of 14 months. She did not start walking right away, but this is not unusual... When she was about 16 months, all people in her surroundings noticed that she straightened herself up in a special way.

A blind aunt accepts Jesus and receives faith for healing

HEAL THE SICK Luke 10:9

This is one of the assignments with which Jesus commissioned his disciples to go out into the cities of Israel. It is still valid for us who are His disciples today. Ela took this up and sent us some of her testimonies (for which we are grateful!):

My German aunt is 93 and has been blind for the last 5 years. Several months ago I prayed for her on the phone and she accepted Jesus in her heart.
During a reunion where the whole family was present, I asked if I could pray for her in another room. I asked my father to come along. I prayed for her in Dutch because I can’t pray fluently in German. She didn’t understand one word of the whole prayer.
Because of the blindness she is seeing very odd things: moving giraffes, rhinoceros, constantly swaying tendrils and continuously falling sand. After the prayer she said she could see the blouse I was wearing and could describe it.

Challenges

I’m writing this monthly word of reflection some 30 miles away from Belfast where we had a fantastic ‘His Healing Love’ conference.
It was so wonderful to see how God was working. It is not an overstatement to say that everyone got touched in the gatherings.
Healings followed and many will be astonished over what has happened and is still happening as they will realize their symptoms are gone, even days after the conference ended. It was a beautiful sight to see how a man who came with very serious back problems, was now helping zealously stacking chairs after the last meeting. He was healed! So it was to see the lady who couldn’t resist to try out her old dance steps, she had come with severely damaged knees. These are just two of the many healings we witnessed here.

At the start of the conference it was quite clear: wherever you meet people, each one has his own challenges. It strikes me that they’re mostly called “problems”.
Just the use of this term –and I know from personal experience- is already an inhibition!

When you submit your problems to Him, He changes them into challenges. And when you continue with Him, these challenges will always lead to a good outcome. There are two possibilities with problems or challenges: they either make you better or bitter. This was quite obvious too here in Ireland. Many people came with a whole lot of problems and they live with many problems as well. Father changed them into challenges, it can’t go wrong anymore.

The Bible shows us so many examples. Moses led God’s people out of Egypt. As they came to the Red Sea and couldn’t go further, they noticed Pharaoh’s army closing them in. Problem or challenge? Clearly a challenge!
If Moses would have looked upon this as being a problem, there might not have been many survivors among God’s people. Moses looked to the problem Solver. He told him to stretch out his rod over the sea. The waters separated so the people could cross over on dry land. Pharaoh’s army drowned when the water flowed back.

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego did not want to deny their God and they walked quietly in the oven. Daniel spent a night amongst the lions for the same reason. Peter the first person in the world, not to put his foot on the moon but to walk on water. Those lepers to who Jesus told to go show themselves to the priests before the healing was obvious. In His Word, God has a solution for every problem. Give it to Him, so it becomes a challenge that He will tackle together with you. Go for it, and there will be another testimony or encouraging story to share!

Cast all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7
